PSAT Scoring. Prior to delving into PSAT conversion specifics, it's important to understand how the PSAT is scored. The scale for the PSAT is 320-1520 in ten-point increments. This means the lowest score you could possibly get is 320 and the maximum is 1520. On the SAT this scale varies slightly on the 400-1600 range. The ACT & SAT Conversion Chart below is based on the results of that study. How to Interpret the ACT-SAT Conversion Chart. The chart below can be a handy tool for determining whether it’s in your child’s best interest to submit ACT scores or New SAT scores to a school.
If you are currently studying for the SAT or ACT (or making decisions about whether you should take the ACT vs the SAT), chances are you are stuck in the middle of the old SAT to new Redesigned SAT transition. If you’ve already taken the ACT or previous SAT and are eyeing the new SAT, or if you’ve taken practice tests of the ACT and new SAT and want to see which test you might do better on, you probably want to know how your scores compare.
Unfortunately, comparing scores is not as easy as it might sound with all the changes in the tests.

Note: As of 2019, the College Board has noted: “The 2018 tables are now the only official concordance tables between the ACT and the SAT and should be used as the single source of reference when comparing scores on the two tests.” In other words, discard the old (2016) tables–this is what you should be looking at!
Check out how students have improved their scores using Magoosh SAT and Magoosh ACT and schedule your next SAT test date or ACT test date by clicking on these links to get your complete guides to choosing the right ones for you!
These numbers are based on the prior 2015 ACT to SAT concordance tables released by the College Board and ACT that convert ACT scores to SAT scores on both the 1600 and 2400 scale. See the chart above for the most recent, accurate information.

The Practice SAT, or *PSAT* -- also known as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, or NMSQT -- is a standardized test taken by students in 11th grade and below. Since the PSAT is often taken to practice for the SAT, it's useful to know how your PSAT score compares to an equivalent score on the SAT. You can also convert PSAT scores to equivalent scores on the ACT, which is another college-entrance examination.
The PSAT has three sections that are scored between 20 and 80 points each: critical reading, writing skills and mathematics. Adding up the individual scores of each section provides a total score for the PSAT, called the selection index. For example, if you scored 45 on the reading section, 57 on the writing section and 60 on the math section, you would have a selection index of 162. Centrino n 1000 windows 10.
